Best Air Fryers on Amazon (2026): 6 Picks for Every Kitchen and Household Size
Short answer: For most homes: the Cosori TurboBlaze 6 Qt. For two people: the Ninja Air Fryer Pro 5 Qt. To cook two foods at once: the Ninja DualZone. On a tight budget or a tiny counter: the Chefman 4 Qt or bella Slim.
Quick picks
- Best overall: Cosori TurboBlaze 6 Qt · 4.8★
- Best for two or three people: Ninja Air Fryer Pro 5 Qt · 4.7★
- Best for two dishes at once: Ninja Foodi DualZone 8 Qt · 4.7★
- Best budget pick: Chefman 4 Qt Air Fryer · 4.6★
- Best for narrow counters: bella Slim 4 Qt · 4.5★
- Best toaster-oven style: Cuisinart TOA-70 · 4.4★
Most air fryer regret comes down to one number: quarts. People buy a 2-quart model for a family of four and end up cooking fries in batches, or they buy a huge oven-style box that eats half the counter and then cooks unevenly. Get the size right and nearly every best seller will make good fries.
How we chose
We started from Amazon’s Air Fryers best-seller list on October 28, 2026, and compared basket size, wattage, temperature range and footprint. Star averages hide a lot, so we also went through the topics owners raise most often and worked out what share of each one is negative. Owner reviews at other retailers filled in the long-term complaints that Amazon’s numbers can’t show yet.
The picks in detail
Cosori TurboBlaze 6 Qt. This is the easy answer for most kitchens. Because the basket is square rather than round, you get more floor space, and a batch of chicken thighs and fries can sit in one layer instead of piling up and steaming. Five fan speeds cover both ends, from slow dehydrating to searing at 450°F. Almost nobody complains.
Ninja Air Fryer Pro 5 Qt. It’s the pick for couples. The 5-quart basket is the right size for two, though it tops out at 400°F, against 450°F on the Pro XL. Then there’s the fan: about 66% of owners who bring up noise call it loud, which matters if your kitchen opens straight onto the living room.
Ninja Foodi DualZone 8 Qt. Two baskets, each with its own timer and temperature, and a Smart Finish setting that staggers the start times so the salmon and the potatoes land together. You pay for that in counter space. The machine is 15.6 inches wide, yet each basket holds only 4 quarts, and owners split almost 50/50 on whether that works for a family.
Chefman 4 Qt. Plain, compact and easy to live with. For one or two people it’s the right size, and 85% of size mentions agree, but a family will outgrow it in a week.
bella Slim 4 Qt. Built for galley kitchens. The basket is long and narrow, which suits fish fillets and fries far better than a whole chicken.
Cuisinart TOA-70. Buy this if you’d rather replace your toaster than find room for one more box. It won’t crisp quite like a basket model, since its fan sits farther from the food, and cleaning is the sore point: 142 of 324 cleaning mentions are complaints.
| Air fryer | Capacity | Power | Width | Most negative topic |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cosori TurboBlaze | 6 qt | 1725 W | 11.8 in | Value (5% negative) |
| Ninja Pro 5 Qt | 5 qt | 1750 W | 11.3 in | Noise (66%) |
| Ninja DualZone | 2 × 4 qt | 1690 W | 15.6 in | Size (52%) |
| Chefman 4 Qt | 4 qt | 1500 W | 10.0 in | Size (15%) |
| bella Slim | 4 qt | 1300 W | 8.2 in | Value (19%) |
| Cuisinart TOA-70 | 0.6 cu ft | 1800 W | 15.8 in | Heat output (54%) |
One we left out
The Instant Vortex Plus 6 Qt has 36,484 ratings, and right now the biggest topic among them is smell. Of 769 owners who mention odor, 636 describe a plastic or chemical smell, which also drags its taste reviews down to 64% positive. Plenty of air fryers smell on day one. Few keep it up this often.
Buying advice
Measure under your cabinets. The picks here stand between 10.2 and 13.8 inches tall, and hot air vents out the back, so leave a few inches clear behind and above.
Don’t overfill. Crispness comes from air moving around the food. Half a basket in one layer beats a full basket every time, which is exactly why getting the size right matters so much.
Baby the coating. Skip steel wool and metal tongs, whatever the box says about dishwashers. Once the nonstick starts flaking, food sticks and you’ll be shopping for a new basket even though the fryer itself still runs fine.

FAQ
What size air fryer do I need?
Roughly 2 to 4 quarts for one or two people, 5 to 6 quarts for three to five, and a dual-basket or oven model if you regularly cook mains and sides together. Basket shape matters too: a square 6-quart basket holds more in one layer than a round one.
Basket or oven-style air fryer?
Basket models are usually faster and crisper because the fan sits close to the food. America's Test Kitchen and several other reviewers have found drawer-style baskets beat oven-style models on crisping. Ovens win if you also want toast, a sheet-pan bake or a view through the door.
Why does my new air fryer smell like plastic?
A burn-in smell on the first few runs is common, and most manuals say to run it empty first. Do that near an open window. If the smell is still strong after several cycles, or you see smoke from plastic parts, contact the maker or return it.
How long does an air fryer basket coating last?
It depends more on care than on brand. Abrasive scrubbers and metal tongs scratch both PTFE and ceramic coatings. Hand washing with a soft sponge and using silicone-tipped tools will keep a basket going much longer.

How we put this together
We compared manufacturer specs and Amazon listing details, read the patterns in Amazon owner reviews (we refresh this snapshot regularly), and scored each product with our published rubric. We have not tested these units hands-on. When we do, the page will say so. Prices change constantly, so we link to the live price instead of quoting one.
