For each oven we compared interior size, wattage and functions, then looked at what share of owner mentions on each topic are negative. The picks in detail
Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro. This is the one that actually replaces a wall oven for most small households. ShouldIt measured the cavity at 16.5 × 12.5 × 8 inches and got four slices of evenly golden toast in 6 minutes 45 seconds. The second batch dropped to 4:10 automatically and matched the first. The catch is longevity. Of 416 owners who talk about durability, 293 are unhappy, mostly over heating elements and door glass. It’s also 21.5 inches wide.
Ninja Flip SP151. Fold it up when you’re done and it takes about half the counter space, which is the whole reason to buy it. The cavity is short, though: ShouldIt measured 5.9 inches of height, so tall roasts are out. Its toast was decent but not great. Because the timer doesn’t adjust for a hot oven, their second batch came out too dark.

Usually not for crispness. A basket puts the fan right next to the food. Oven-style models spread air over a wider tray, so fries take longer. You gain room for a sheet-pan dinner and real toast.
